In southeast Iowa, Keokuk, Louisa and Washington. * WHEN...From 7 AM CDT this morning through this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. HAZARD...Quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Damage to vehicles is expected. Locations impacted include... Iowa City, Kalona, Lone Tree, Riverside, Hills, Iowa City Municipal Airport, Frytown, Windham, Johnson County Fairgrounds, Hills Access, Cosgrove, River Junction, and Sharon Center. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
