Flood Warning issued May 31 at 11:41AM CDT until June 1 at 12:00PM CDT by NWS Hastings NE * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of central Nebraska, including the following counties, Howard and Sherman. * WHEN...Until noon CDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1141 AM CDT, emergency management reported that flooding is still occurring due to heavy rain and thunderstorms primarily Thursday morning. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Deer Creek, Davis Creek, Loup River, Dry Creek, Prairie Slough, Lake Creek, North Loup River, Rock Creek, Turkey Creek, Cow Creek, Middle Loup River, Cedar Creek, Auger Creek, Oak Creek, Munson Creek, Cady Creek and Big Slough. Additional rainfall due to scattered shower and thunderstorm activity this afternoon could cause additional amounts of up to 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... St. Paul, Dannebrog, Elba, Ashton, Howard City, Farwell and Boelus. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
