Flood Watch issued April 27 at 11:55PM CDT until April 28 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Texas, including the following counties, in north central Texas, Bosque, Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Fannin, Grayson, Hill, Hood, Hunt, Jack, Johnson, Kaufman, McLennan, Montague, Navarro, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, Tarrant, Wise and Young. In northeast Texas, Delta, Henderson, Hopkins, Lamar, Rains and Van Zandt. * WHEN...Through Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rainfall totals of 1.5 to 3 inches, with isolated higher amounts up to 5 inches. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Special Weather Statement issued April 28 at 2:03AM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX At 202 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Thackerville to Gainesville to Boyd. Movement was east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Denton, Flower Mound, Southlake, Corinth, Gainesville, Highland Village, Trophy Club, Sanger, Decatur, Bridgeport, Whitesboro, Briar, Roanoke, Pecan Acres, Krum, Pilot Point, Argyle, Hickory Creek, Justin, and Double Oak. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
