The immediate threat of DAMAGING WINDS has eased, but DAMAGING WEST TO SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS averaging 50-65 km/h with peak gusts of around 100 km/h are likely over the Lower South East coast during Thursday evening, easing later on Friday morning. Locations which may be affected include Robe and Millicent. Severe weather is no longer occurring in the Mount Lofty Ranges, Lower Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula, Kangaroo Island and Murraylands districts and the warning for these districts is CANCELLED. Severe Weather Warning for DAMAGING WINDS Issued at 5:04 am Thursday, 2 July 2026. The State Emergency Service advises that people should: * Move vehicles under cover or away from trees; * Secure or put away loose items around your property. * Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe. Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, rain and showers and strong westerly winds are expected during Thursday and Friday. Areas likely to be affected include the Mount Lofty Ranges forecast district and parts of the Yorke Peninsula, Kangaroo Island and Lower South East forecast districts.
