Flood Watch issued June 18 at 4:01PM EDT until June 20 at 2:00AM EDT by NWS Tallahassee FL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Alabama, southwest Georgia, and the Florida Panhandle. * WHEN...Through late Friday night. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall are expected from today through Friday. Rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches are expected with locally higher amounts likely. Reasonable high- end totals of 7 to 10 inches are possible. High rainfall rates will increase the chance of dangerous to life threatening flash flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Daleville, Cottonwood, Dothan, Headland, Ozark, Fort Rucker, Enterprise, Blakely, Geneva, Hartford, Taylor, Midland City, Kinsey, Ashford, Level Plains, Slocomb, Cowarts, Newton, Webb and Columbia.
