Flood Advisory issued July 16 at 5:46PM PDT until July 16 at 7:45PM PDT by NWS Las Vegas NV * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Central Mohave County in northwestern Arizona... * WHEN...Until 745 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 545 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Valentine, Blake Ranch Road, Dw Ranch Road, Hackberry Road, and Anatares Road. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
