Flood Watch issued June 24 at 11:30PM CDT until June 25 at 1:00PM CDT by NWS Shreveport LA * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Arkansas, including the following counties, Columbia, Hempstead, Howard, Lafayette, Little River, Miller, Nevada, Sevier and Union, Louisiana, including the following parishes, Bienville, Claiborne, Jackson, Lincoln, Ouachita, Union and Webster, southeast Oklahoma, including the following county, McCurtain, and northeast Texas, including the following county, Bowie. * WHEN...Through Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional showers and thunderstorms are expected to redevelop during the overnight and towards Thursday morning. With extremely saturated soils from heavy rainfall that has fallen over the last several days, it wont take much rain to cause Flash Flooding concerns. For the Bayou Dorcheat...including Springhill, Dixie Inn, Lake Bistineau...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Bayou Dorcheat near Springhill. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding of private boat ramps. Move livestock to higher ground. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 13.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday was 13.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.0 feet Friday evening. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.0 feet on 04/01/2018. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
