Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall from thunderstorms possible across the area this evening into the overnight. Rain rates in excess of 1 to 2 inches per hour over areas that have previously received heavy rainfall may lead to flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood A Flood Watch for flash flooding means rapid-onset flooding is possible, but not yet certain, based upon the latest forecasts. Flash flooding is a dangerous situation. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded. High water may recede slowly from flooded areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1235 AM CDT, doppler radar indicated that heavy rainfall had moved out of the area. While the threat for heavy rainfall has ended, 1 to locally 5 inches of rain fell from earlier thunderstorms. Numerous creeks and streams are rising towards flood stage, and water levels will likely remain elevated well into Saturday morning. Standing water will continue to impact underpasses, low spots, and other poor drainage areas. - A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for areas that received the heaviest rainfall where multiple creeks continue to climb rapidly, including the Midlothian, Homewood, and Thornton areas. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
