East Branch Du Page River at Bolingbrook affecting Will and DuPage Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and forecasted to continue. * WHERE...East Branch Du Page River from Maple Avenue in Lisle downstream to confluence with West Branch DuPage River, including the Bolingbrook gauge. * WHEN...Until just after midnight tonight. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, DuPage River Greenway Trail is threatened east of the river near Royce Road in Bolingbrook. Trails threatened at Green Valley Forest Preserve near Woodridge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:40 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 21.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:40 AM CDT Sunday was 21.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall throughout the next few days. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood A Flood Warning means water levels above flood stage are imminent or may already be occurring. Persons along rivers and streams in the warned area should take immediate precautions to protect life and property. These forecasts are based on observed precipitation as well as forecast precipitation 24 hours into the future. Flood Advisory issued July 5 at 8:20AM CDT until July 5 at 2:00PM CDT by NWS Chicago IL * WHAT...Flooding caused by repeated rounds of thunderstorms continues. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following counties, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will. * WHEN...Until 200 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...High water in retention ponds, ditches, rivers, creeks, and streams, and low-lying areas will continue to subside through the day. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 817 AM CDT, gauge reports along area rivers, creeks, and streams indicated residual high water from repeated rounds of thunderstorms. Local law enforcement reports that all roadways that were previously closed due to flooding have reopened. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chicago, Aurora, Naperville, Schaumburg, Bolingbrook, Oak Lawn, Wheaton, Downers Grove, Bartlett, Streamwood, Carol Stream, Romeoville, Plainfield, Hanover Park, Glendale Heights, Woodridge, Oswego, Burbank, West Chicago and Batavia. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring.
