Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Creston, Greenfield, Green Valley Lake, Lake Icaria, Fontanelle, Orient, Lorimor, Massena, Cumberland, Bridgewater, East Peru, Macksburg, Cromwell, Green Valley Lake State Park, Nodaway Park, Greenfield Municipal Airport and Lake Icaria State Park. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Greenfield, Fontanelle, Orient, Massena, Bridgewater, Greenfield Municipal Airport, and Nodaway Park. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
