Flood Warning issued June 9 at 6:18AM CDT until June 9 at 12:15PM CDT by NWS Wichita KS * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central Kansas, including the following county, Lincoln. * WHEN...Until 1215 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 617 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the warned area from thunderstorms earlier this morning. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Barnard. Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.
