In north central Kentucky, Breckinridge, Bullitt, Hardin, Larue, Meade, Nelson and Washington KY. In northwest Kentucky, Hancock and Ohio. In south central Kentucky, Adair, Allen, Barren, Butler, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Edmonson, Grayson, Green, Hart, Lincoln, Logan, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Simpson, Taylor and Warren. * WHEN...Through Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Numerous showers and scattered strong storms are expected today into tonight. Flood Advisory issued June 27 at 3:42AM CDT until June 27 at 6:45AM CDT by NWS Louisville KY * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central Kentucky, including the following counties, Breckinridge, Hardin, Larue and Nelson. * WHEN...Until 645 AM CDT /745 AM EDT/. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 342 AM CDT /442 AM EDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Elizabethtown, Bardstown, Hodgenville, Radcliff, New Haven, Bloomfield, Fairfield, Younger Creek, Roanoke and Colesburg. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
