Movement was southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Opelousas, Ville Platte, Melville, Palmetto, Port Barre, Washington, Chataignier, Prairie Ronde, Indian Lake, Lawtell, Whiteville, Big Cane, Swords, Grand Prairie, and Lebeau. This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 21 and 42. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
