Flood Watch issued July 5 at 5:22PM EDT until July 6 at 1:00AM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of central, northeast, and northern Maryland, including the following areas, in central Maryland, Anne Arundel. In northeast Maryland, Cecil. In northern Maryland, Northern Baltimore, Northwest Harford, Southeast Harford and Southern Baltimore. * WHEN...Until 1 AM EDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms will develop into an increasingly humid airmass this evening. This, combined with recent rainfall, may result in flash flooding, particularly along small streams and in urban areas. Localized totals of 2 to 4 inches of rain are possible. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 5 at 10:05PM EDT until July 5 at 10:45PM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC At 1005 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Holtwood to near Cecilton, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles. Locations impacted include... Elkton, Calvert, North East, Rising Sun, Charlestown, Cecilton, Warwick, Zion, Blake, Barksdale, Bohemias Mills, West Nottingham, Brantwood, Fair Hill, Glen Westover, Bay View, Lombard, Richardsmere, Woodlawn, and Andora. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel. * Locations impacted include...
