Flood Watch issued June 17 at 12:54PM CDT until June 19 at 6:00PM CDT by NWS Mobile AL * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Alabama, including the following areas, Baldwin Central, Baldwin Coastal, Baldwin Inland, Butler, Choctaw, Clarke, Conecuh, Covington, Crenshaw, Escambia, Mobile Central, Mobile Coastal, Mobile Inland, Monroe, Washington and Wilcox, northwest Florida, including the following areas, Escambia Coastal, Escambia Inland, Okaloosa Coastal, Okaloosa Inland, Santa Rosa Coastal and Santa Rosa Inland, and southeast Mississippi, including the following areas, George, Greene, Perry, Stone and Wayne. * WHEN...Through Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall will continue through at least Friday afternoon. Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Chickasawhay at Leakesville. * WHEN...From this evening until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, flooding at the highway bridge begins. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 18.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening and continue rising to a crest of 27.5 feet Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
