Flood Watch issued June 10 at 10:08AM CDT until June 11 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of northeast Kansas, including the following areas, Atchison KS and Doniphan and Missouri, including the following areas, Adair, Andrew, Buchanan, Caldwell, Clinton, Daviess, De Kalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Linn MO, Livingston, Macon, Mercer, Nodaway, Putnam, Schuyler, Sullivan and Worth. * WHEN...Through Thursday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms are expected to develop rapidly this afternoon in much of northern Missouri and far northeastern Kansas. Storms will be slow-moving and capable of producing torrential rainfall. Localized rainfall totals in excess of 3 inches are possible, which may occur in as little as an hour or two. Central Harrison County in north central Missouri... Mercer County in north central Missouri... Southwestern Putnam County in north central Missouri... Northwestern Sullivan County in north central Missouri... Central Gentry County in northwestern Missouri... Southeastern Nodaway County in northwestern Missouri... * WHEN...Until 145 AM CDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 744 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
