Flood Watch issued June 13 at 8:33AM CDT until June 14 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Springfield MO * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following areas, Bourbon, Cherokee and Crawford and Missouri, including the following areas, Barry, Barton, Benton, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Greene, Hickory, Jasper, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Polk, St. Clair, Stone and Vernon. * WHEN...Through Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Widespread 2 to 4 inches of rain with locally higher amounts. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Flood Advisory issued June 14 at 12:49AM CDT until June 14 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Springfield MO * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southwest Missouri, including the following county, Greene. * WHEN...Until 700 AM CDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1249 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Springfield, Republic, Battlefield, Strafford, Willard, Ash Grove, Fair Grove, Walnut Grove, Brookline, Glidewell, Ebenezer, Cave Springs, Sacville, Galloway, Bois D'arc, Turners and Bassville. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
