Flash Flood Warning issued April 29 at 5:12AM CDT until April 29 at 9:15AM CDT by NWS Springfield MO At 512 AM CDT, River gauge reports indicated earlier heavy rain continues to produce flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Gauges reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Mountain Grove, Ava, Forsyth, Willow Springs, Houston, Cabool, Mansfield, Norwood, Summersville, Taneyville, Raymondville, Kissee Mills, Wasola, Vanzant, Drury, Gentryville, Brushyknob, Rockbridge, Brixey, Dora, Squires, Noble, Willhoit, Bendavis, Thornfield, Elk Creek, Simmons, Rome, Goodhope, Solo, Dogwood, Bucyrus, Long Run, Clear Springs, Brownbranch, Yukon, Bradleyville, Eunice, Arroll and Rueter. This includes the following low water crossings... Little North Fork River at County Road 916, South Fork Jacks Fork River at Stillhouse Road, Bryant Creek at County Road 223, Little Beaver Creek at County Road 447, North Fork River at County Road 278, Pond Fork at County Road 883 and Beaver Creek at County Road 524. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
