Flood Watch issued June 5 at 8:17PM CDT until June 6 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Omaha/Valley NE * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southwest Iowa, including the following counties, Fremont, Mills, Montgomery, Page and Pottawattamie and Nebraska, including the following counties, Butler, Cass, Douglas, Gage, Johnson, Lancaster, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee, Richardson, Sarpy, Saunders and Seward. * WHEN...Until 7 AM CDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A band of heavy rain is expected to develop late this evening and linger into early Saturday morning. Eastern Cass County in southeastern Nebraska... * Until 1045 PM CDT. * At 958 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 2 miles northeast of Cedar Creek to 3 miles northeast of Plattsmouth to 4 miles east of Beaver Lake to 3 miles southeast of Union, moving northeast at 25 mph. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding.
