Wave heights 2 to 4 feet on Pyramid Lake. * WHERE...Western Nevada Basin and Range including Pyramid Lake. * WHEN...For the first Lake Wind Advisory, from 2 PM to 11 PM PDT Thursday. For the second Lake Wind Advisory, from 11 AM Friday to 2 AM PDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions improve. Check lake conditions before heading out and be prepared for a sudden increase in winds and wave heights. Consider postponing boating activities on the lake until a day with less wind.

The Fire Weather Watch has been upgraded to a Red Flag Warning. * CHANGES...Fire Weather Watch upgraded to a Red Flag Warning. * Affected Area...Fire Weather Zone 423 West Humboldt Basin in Pershing County, Fire Weather Zone 429 Lahontan Basin including Churchill and Eastern Mineral Counties. * Winds...West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * Humidity...Afternoon minimums 10 to 15 percent. * Duration...3 to 6 hours Friday with 3 to 8 hours Saturday. While humidity will recover Friday night, winds will stay breezy on midslopes and ridges. * Impacts...The combination of gusty winds and low humidity can cause fire to rapidly grow in size and intensity before first responders can contain them, especially from any recent lightning holdovers.
