Other strong thunderstorms were located near Goldsboro, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Goldsboro, Tarboro, Wilson, Elm City, Fremont, Pinetops, Kenly, Lucama, Stantonsburg, and Black Creek. This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 121 and 105. NC Highway 264 between Mile Markers 34 and 56. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
