Flood Advisory issued July 8 at 8:12PM EDT until July 8 at 10:00PM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following county, Wake. * WHEN...Until 1000 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 810 PM EDT, Heavy rainfall has ended over the Advisory area. Continued ponding from residual runoff will likely remain for another hour. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Raleigh, Cary, Wake Forest, Garner, Zebulon, Knightdale, Wendell, Rolesville, Lake Benson, Lake Wheeler and Falls Lake. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
