Southeastern Ward County in north central North Dakota... * Until 600 PM CDT. * At 454 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Sawyer, or 15 miles southeast of Minot, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * This severe thunderstorm will be near... Sawyer around 500 PM CDT. Velva around 505 PM CDT. Surrey around 510 PM CDT. Granville around 525 PM CDT. Upham around 555 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by the severe thunderstorm include Logan, Simcoe, Norwich and Bantry. Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing dangerous hail and damaging winds. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT Monday for a portion of north central North Dakota.
