A prolonged period of dangerously hot and humid conditions with little overnight relief will increase impacts to vulnerable populations. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Air Quality Alert issued July 3 at 5:30PM EDT by NWS Cleveland OH An Air Quality Advisory for ground level ozone has been issued by the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency for Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit Counties. The advisory is from midnight tonight to midnight Saturday night. Air quality levels will be unhealthy for sensitive groups during this period. Movement was east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Painesville, Ashtabula, Willowick, Chardon, Fairport Harbor, Geneva-On-The-Lake, Mentor, Solon, Willoughby, Hudson, Twinsburg, Eastlake, Streetsboro, Macedonia, Geneva, South Russell, Madison, North Kingsville, Middlefield, and Garrettsville.
