Special Weather Statement issued July 11 at 4:32PM EDT by NWS Charleston SC At 432 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from near Givhans Ferry State Park to 7 miles northwest of Hendersonville, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Summerville, Walterboro, Givhans Ferry State Park, Colleton, Ridgeville, Cottageville, Smoaks, Lodge, Williams and Canadys. This includes the following highways... I-26 between mile markers 194 and 199. I-95 in South Carolina between mile markers 48 and 72.
