Flood Warning issued June 21 at 7:24PM CDT until June 22 at 9:00AM CDT by NWS Aberdeen SD * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of central South Dakota, including the following counties, Buffalo and Hand. * WHEN...Until 900 AM CDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 833 AM CDT, Emergency management reports flooding continues in the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall is possible overnight across the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Miller, Fort Thompson, St. Lawrence, Miller Dale Colony, Shelby, Ree Heights, Gann Valley, Pleasant Valley Country Church, Sunshine Bible Academy, Danforth, Etbauer Hill, Rosehill Dam, Lees Corner, Vayland, Crow Creek Housing, Lake Francis Case, Lake Sharpe, southeastern Crow Creek Reservation and southeastern Lower Brule Reservation. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
