Extreme Heat Warning issued July 2 at 9:43AM CDT until July 3 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Nashville TN * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions will continue through Independence Day with heat index values peaking in the 105 to 112 range. Overnight conditions will be very uncomfortable with lows in the 70s. * WHERE...Middle Tennessee. * WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM CDT Friday. For the Heat Advisory, from 8 PM Friday to 8 PM CDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Flood Advisory issued July 2 at 4:03PM CDT until July 2 at 7:15PM CDT by NWS Nashville TN * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following counties, Davidson, Rutherford and Williamson. * WHEN...Until 715 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 403 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Franklin, Smyrna, Brentwood, La Vergne, Spring Hill, Nolensville, Forest Hills, Oak Hill, Thompson's Station, Antioch, Eagleville, Triune and Rockvale. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
