Extreme Heat Warning issued July 2 at 11:29AM CDT until July 2 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS Milwaukee/Sullivan WI * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of 95 to 100. * WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Wisconsin. * WHEN...Until 10 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Stay cool, stay hydrated, stay informed.

Special Weather Statement issued July 2 at 7:04PM CDT by NWS Milwaukee/Sullivan WI At 704 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Campbellsport to Newburg to near Cedarburg to New Berlin to near Bohners Lake. Movement was northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Milwaukee, Kenosha, Racine, West Allis, Sheboygan, Wauwatosa, Greenfield, Oak Creek, Mount Pleasant, Mequon, South Milwaukee, Pleasant Prairie, Cudahy, Antioch, Whitefish Bay, Greendale, Brown Deer, Grafton, Cedarburg, and Port Washington. This includes the following highways... Interstate 94 between mile markers 304 and 310. Interstate 43 between mile markers 60 and 61, and between mile markers 73 and 135. Interstate 41 between mile markers 40 and 48. Interstate 41/894 between mile markers 0 and 4. Interstate 41/43/894 between mile markers 5 and 9. Interstate 43/94 between mile markers 311 and 316. Interstate 41/94 between mile markers 317 and 349. Interstate 794 between mile markers 1 and 3. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
